I remember “getting hooked” as a child. I have always liked crafts and was soon knitting & learning various forms of needlework, however it was Crochet that was always my favourite.
A few years ago, when I had more time on my hands, I picked up a hook again and the rest is history.
I was originally based in Surrey when I started to teach Crochet, but now the lucky people of Dorset have my undivided attention & I have my talent to share with them.
I have crocheted numerous baby blankets, toys, clothes, socks, hats, scarves, mobile phone covers, flowers, bed blankets and even several strings of bunting of various shapes, sizes & colours. The list is endless and I am sure you’ll be pleased to know that I haven’t crocheted a toilet roll cover – YET – Crochet has come a long way since those days!
I love to come up with my own designs too and have recently written crochet patterns for several UK magazines & a few well known publishing companies as well as writing my own book “Crochet for Beginners who want to Improve” & I have also created an Online Crochet Course in both UK & US crochet terms, for people who can’t get to me here in Dorset.
I have also crocheted many pieces for charity, including:
100 square Granny Blanket for the Saving Rare Breeds 2011 Raffle.
& many squares, well actually it was 57, for Help For Heroes in various shades of blue.
I am truly hooked and always have 2 or 3 projects on the go at once & it will give me the greatest of pleasure to share my crochet skills with you, as I love to teach this craft to others – that’s my passion!
